Often the saying less is more really is true and really does apply. It certainly worked for me on today’s card. Once again I created using the Flourishing Phrases stamp set. While the original plan was to include elements from the Flourish Thinlits dies, I decided to scrap that and simply use the stamp set as the focal point.
The flourish image is beautiful and while it has bold lines, it is still delicate. You can quickly and easily add colour by using the Stampin’ Markers to fill in the flower buds and leaves.
I kept my colour combinations to a minimum and selected Mint Macaron and Watermelon Wonder. The new sheer Linen Mint Macaron ribbon is so nice to work with and adds a soft touch to the card.
Embellishments are a great way to dress up a card without taking away from your message or focal image. They can help balance a card and add the perfect touch to make it appealing to the eye. The Enamel Shapes work perfectly to complete a card without taking over.
