Timing Father’s Day

Before I dive into today’s card I just wanted to send you a friendly reminder that if you wish to continue to receive newsletters and other e-mails from me you must fill out the subscription form in the left sidebar.  As of June 1st I will transition to my new mailing system and those who have not subscribed will no longer receive e-mails from me.

So I must admit that I am bit early to post this but I really love this card, although I don’t feel the photo does it justice.  Up close and personal, the clock on this card is STUNNING…  I think my stamp club ladies can agree.

I stamped the clock from the set Sense of Time in Versamark Ink and applied Black Detailed Embossing powder to the ink.  I tapped off the excess and heat set my image with the Heat Tool.  This alone = WOW but what really makes the clock stand out is how I ‘weathered’ it.  I sponged some Baja Breeze ink on the face of the clock, then working out I sponged River Rock, Crumb Cake and near the edge, Chocolate Chip.  I applied Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of my clock and adhered to my retired designer series paper.  (click on photo for larger image)

I pulled out my Lots of Tags sizzlits and die cut the tag from Crumb Cake cardstock.  I stamped my sentiment in Basic Black ink from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes. Since the tag cuts a small hole I simply strung my hemp twine through the tag and around my designer paper, tying it in a knot.

I applied SNAIL adhesive to the back of my designer paper and attached to my 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 Chocolate Chip cardbase.

Simple and yet so manly.  I can’t wait to give this to my Dad for Father’s Day.

If you are looking for a great set to use for men, I recommend the Sense of Time set, it truely is timeless, so don’t forget to order yours today!
