Swappin’ In Your Jammies

Last week I shared with you a card that I originally designed for a swap I was participating in at Convention.  The swap was called Swappin’ In Your Jammies.  We had a lot of fun and I wore a cute pajama set that said, “Not only am I cute, I’m Canadian too!”  Now how great is that!

The card shown below is the card idea that I was going to use, until….. Chris (my fiance) informed me that he felt the Black Satin ribbon was too overpowering.

So he looked at my card for a while and then suggested what colours to keep and to replace the Wild Wasabi with Cajun Craze. So below is my final product:

4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card base – Cajun Craze
4 x 5 1/4″ Very Vanilla – ran through Big Shot using Fancy Fan Letterpress plate (Certainly Celery ink used)
Pear image (from Hostess set Faith in Nature) stamped on small piece of Very Vanilla in Black Staz On ink
coloured with Stampin’ Pastels and blended with Blender Pen
painted Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint around pear image
image layered on a piece of Cajun Craze

Prior to assembling all layers I added a bit of Sticky Strip to the Letterpress’d Very Vanilla cardstock and ruffled Pear Pizzaz Seam binding.  Then I popped up my pear image layer slightly over the ruffled ribbon and folded the end of the ribbon over the side edge of my image. I placed a Basic Rhinestone to finish off the ribbon.

The top layers were then adhered to the Cajun Craze card base.
