Stampin’ Up! – Flourishing Phrases

I like to come up with my own designs.  I try not CASE from others but if I’m thoroughly stuck on a good way to use a stamp set, I’ll visit Pinterest for inspiration.  I have to be honest that with the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and the coordinating thinlits, I really struggled to come up with my own ideas and designs.  I bought the stamp set because I like the messages.   While I will share a card with you at a later date that I CASE’d from Pinterest, today’s card is my own design.

We have cute 2015-2017 In Colour doilies available in the new annual catalogue.  By cutting one in half, I was able to tuck the two halves side by side under my front layer.  I die cut the leaf flourish using the Flourish Thinits die from Basic Black cardstock and the flower was die cut from Watermelon Wonder cardstock.  With the sentiment stamped in Archival Black ink and the addition of a few rhinestones, including one in my flower centre, this card is complete.

I did stress over this card for a good half hour but quite frankly, this card could be completed in about 5 minutes if you have all your supplies ready.  A great card to re-create over and over with different greetings stamped on it.
