Stacking the Gifts

I have had so much fun working with the new photopolymer set Santa’s Sleigh and have noticed not many cards are designed using the gift images (unless piled in Santa’s Sleigh) I decided it was time to create simple card featuring these images.

The card base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2″ Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded.  The designer series paper is from the super adorable Candy Cane Lane DSP pack also available in the Holiday Catalogue.  It is cut at 4″ x 5 1/4″.

The presents were stamped on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Real Red, Wild Wasabi and Night of Navy inks. I love that you can line images up easily when stamping with photopolymer stamps.  I stamped the sentiment in Archival Basic Black ink and tied a bit of the Candy Cane Lane Red Bakers Twine around the white panel.  Before I completed my bow, I slipped a jingle bell through the twine.

Finally, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the stamped white panel and attached it to my card front.

To me this card is a wonderful balance of elements and design.  It is one that can easily be re-created for your Christmas greeting card needs!
