Spring is Progressing

It has been a couple weeks since I posted a scrapbook page and being as we are really coming into spring this page was perfect.

The colour palette is soft and pretty.  I used Regal Rose, So Saffron and Very Vanilla – that’s it!

With my Upsy Daisy set I stamped my flowers in Regal Rose ink on Very Vanilla cardstock.  I layered this on designer paper from an old Hostess Level 1 paper pack.   I added Regal Rose and So Saffron, layered, photo corners in the top right, leaving enough room to add a photo.

The next step was to stamp my Inspired by Nature images using So Saffron ink on So Saffron cardstock.  I layered a strip of Regal Rose cardstock, which I had punched with the Eyelet Border Edge Punch along the left side.  I’m not big on seams between two layers of cardstock when it is  just one edge, so I added Regal Rose grosgrain Ribbon and tied in a bow to cover this.  Of course this layer wouldn’t be complete without a birdie singing in the meadow, so I used the Birds and Blooms Sizzlit to create my birdie.

Finally, I stamped my Upsy Daisy image again on 12 x 12 Very Vanilla cardstock along the bottom and partially up the right side.  I stamped my title in Regal Rose ink using the retired Jumbo Alphabet.  I really wanted my title to pop so I used my Versamarker to colour in the letters, added Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heat set.
