I missed my Friday post last week – sorry about that. My oldest Great Dane required emergency surgery, so I took the day off work. I’m happy to say that he appears to be doing quite well and I am so thankful for that! My husband has taken to calling him Patches, since he has a shaved block on his side. They released approx. 8-10 litres of air from his chest cavity and he is back to eating and breathing properly!
So while I missed out on being able to drag race at one of our seasons last events, I feel better knowing that he is safe and being cared for well by us.
I don’t know about you but I love the Santa’s Sleigh bundle in the Holiday catalogue! I keep going back to it to make cards and trying out different “scenery”. Today’s share is one such card that is slightly similar to the card in the catalogue.
I embossed my Whisper White background with the Woodland embossing folder and lightly sponged ink on the trees to make them stand out. I also stamped the reindeer and bow and die cut using the Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits dies.
The sleigh is die cut from Real Red cardstock and the detailed portion of the sleigh is a separate die cut from Silver Foil Paper. I adhered the sleigh and one reindeer directly to the cardfront and then popped up the second reindeer, offsetting him from the first, to provide more dimension. I slacked off a little by not adding reins between the sleigh and reindeer.
