Six Sided Sampler – Birthday

It’s Monday and we are more than halfway through October.  Time seems to be flying by.  It doesn’t help when I think about my schedule for the next two weeks, it will be non-stop!   Between workshops, classes, shows and of course my day job I’ll be hopping.  I know though, in the end, it will be worth it.

Since the new catalogue was released in June I would have to say that the most popular set so far is the Six Sided Sampler.  It pairs up with the Hexagon Punch and really makes life simple when creating projects. Here you can see that I selected the newest In Colours and stamped 5 images from the stamp set in each different colour.  I stamped Happy Birthday from the hostess only set Morning Meadow in Jet Black Staz On ink.

Tips/ Tricks:

  • Burlap – I love the burlap ribbon in the Holiday catalogue.  It is quite wide but for this card I cut the ribbon down the center and pulled 3 strands from the burlap, I then used these 3 strands to tie a knot around the ribbon. Waste not, want not!
  • Colour– Typically you wouldn’t want to select more than two main colours but I just had to showcase the whole set of new In Colours and it still has a great visual impact.
  • Dimension – By using Stampin’ Dimensionals I was able to quickly and easily pop the punched images up on my card front for that extra bit of depth.

Thanks for stopping by today!
