Sewing Challenge!

This week over on the Less Is More blog the challenge is SEWING.  This means you can use stamps that pertain to sewing, you can sew your card, you can create faux stitching on your card, as long as it has something along those lines.

Since I didn’t have the energy to pull out my sewing machine, I opted for faux stitching on my card.

I use several new products from this year’s Catalogue.  The card base is the new In Colour Midnight Muse. The label was die cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits. The stamped sentiment is from the set Blessings From Heaven. The ribbon is Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon which is layered slightly over some Comfort Cafe DSP.

My faux stitching itself was created using the new Piercing Mat, Piercing Tool and Essentials Paper Piercing Pack. Of course I had to use something to show some actual “thread”, so I used the Midnight Muse Stampin’ Write Marker to add some thread to the holes.

This card is so rich with the dark blue so to make it pop just a smidge, I used Cajun Craze ink for my sentiment.

Thanks for looking and Happy Sewing!

  1. Not a lot of ‘white space’ Margaret, but it’s a super simple design and I love your colour choices. The faux stitching works really well.
    Thanks so much
