I am really enjoying the art of designing my own creations again, rather than CASE’ing from Pinterest as I tend to often do. Although there is great inspiration there and lots of great cards that you just can’t help but CASE, there is a deeper satisfaction when you create something from a sketch layout rather than a completed card.
Today I am sharing a card that I created for the Pals Paper Arts Sketch 290. I am loving everything about this sketch and my completed card. The colours are bold and yet the images are so delicate.
Here is the sketch for this weeks challenge:
And here is my creation:
The inks I used were Blushing Bride, Watermelon Wonder, Old Olive and Versamark. The patterned papers are from the Balloon Bouquet DSP from the Occasions Catalogue and the Colour Me Irresistable Specailty Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalogue.
Almost blending it but still visible is the White Bakers Twine wrapped twice around the card, separating the two designer papers.
I love the triple layer stamping that Stampin’ Up! has with some of the new sets. For this card I used the Picture Perfect set from the Occasions catalogue. The rose is beautiful when all three layers are completed!
Thank you for visiting my blog today and be sure to check out all the cards posted on the Pals Paper Arts blog for this weeks sketch.
