Painted Autumn Designer Background

As promised, I will continue to share some projects I made already and haven’t had a chance to share with you.  Today we are taking a look at Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper. I love the patterns and colouration selected in the prints.  Fall is likely one of my favourite seasons with the array of colour spattered across the landscape.  God truly has blessed us with the beauty He shares with us.

I have two cards with relatively simple designs that would make these easily duplicatable. Using the standard card base of 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″, scored at 4-1/4″ and cutting your designer paper at 4″ x 5-1/4″ you are nearly halfway to having your card finished.

This first card has such a beautiful pattern that I wanted to leave that the focal point, which is why I stamped a simple greeting, cutting one end in a banner shape.  To add just a bit of pizzazz, I created a little bow using the Copper Trim and by running my scissor blade along the tails, I was able to get a nice curl on them.

The second card follows the same general format as the first for the card base and designer paper, however I used my Layering Circles (141705) and Stitched Shapes (145372) framelits to die cut my sentiment and added a punched daisy to the card front as well.

Now if you don’t recall, I love the new Lemon Lime Twist colour and the Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon (144234) was the perfect addition to this card front.

Which of these two cards was your favourite?
