Happy New Year everyone!
Wow it has been awhile since I have shared any creations with you. I spent a lot of time in the months leading up to Christmas crafting and creating. So much that I only began Christmas shopping one week for Christmas! Talk about hustling to get everything done. Somehow I ended up on Santa’s nice list, which was surprising because Santa and I had a talk about not spending any money on each other LOL It turned out neither one of us listened. Did you have a good Christmas?
While I have been on holidays I still haven’t had much time to get into my stamp room to craft but I did receive a message late one evening last week asking if I could make a custom Anniversary card. I sent a pic of something I thought they might like and with some discussion on colour change I went straight to my room and whipped up this card.
Since it is for a man my customer wanted blue tones with a heart(s). I used some retired newsprint DSP, die cut the large intricate heart from Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlits and lightly sponged Pool Party on it. Next I stamped flowers in Bermuda Bay ink on my Bermuda Bay cardstock base using the Bloomin’ Love stamp set.
The Happy Anniversary sentiment and banner were created and die cut, using Number of Years stamp set and Large Numbers Framelits. I had to die cut two banners to fit the words and I snipped off the end of the banner with Happy on it. Since I didn’t like the straight edge on the end of this, I stamped and die cut a flower and strategically placed the straight edge of the banner behind one of these flowers.
Of course a card needs some dimension, so I popped up the Anniversary banner and for a slight touch of bling, I added a Basic Rhinestone to the centre of a flower.
The final touches were stamping the back with the From My <3 image found in the “I Stamped This” set and adding a stamped heart from the Bloomin’ Love stamp set.
