You may have noticed I disappeared for a week. I enjoyed a gorgeous, sunny vacation away with my family. For once I can say that my holidays didn’t whiz by and were done before they began. We relaxed, did absolutely nothing, and time went along at an easy pace. I am so thankful that we were able to enjoy that time together.
Now I have returned and today I am back to the land of reality!
Although my new catalogue Open House is a distant memory I wanted to share with you one of the cards that my customers made. This card features many new products and colours. I used the Mosaic Madness stamp set, along with the coordinating punch. I love seeing my customer change the layout of my cards and a few ladies came up with some very nice alternate designs. Here is the card I had prepared for them.
- Mosaic Madness Bundle – If you love the Mosaic Madness stamp set and the Mosaic Punch, why not save yourself some money and order them in a bundle at a savings of 15%
- Stamp your image first on some scrap Whisper White cardstock and then punch it out. For some this may seem like a no brainer but I see many people who punch the cardstock first and then attempt to punch their image on the small punched piece. Save yourself time and frustration by stamping first and punching later 🙂
- Layering – Line up your punched pieces with the embossed pattern on your background mat. Pop up the punched pieces using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The background mat was created by embossing the Whisper White cardstock using the Modern Mosaic embossing folder.
- Swipe – You may find, as I do, that inking up stamps that are “negatives”, such as the Banner Greetings set, that the image can come out blotchy and you lose the lines of the greeting. I find that by lightly swiping your stamp over the ink pad, you can avoid the blotchiness of your final stamped image. It does leave the image/ greeting with a swiped look but I find that only adds to the appeal of the card.
Stamp Sets: Mosaic Madness, Banner Greetings (hostess set) Cardstock: Crisp Cantaloupe, Whisper White Inks: Crisp Cantoloupe, Coastal Cabana Accessories: Big Shot, Modern Mosaic Embossing Folder, Mosaic Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, SNAIL Adhesive, Paper Snips
