Happy 4th of July to my American friends and Happy Monday to all!
This is coming quite late but I wanted to share one of my projects from the May Paper Pumpkin kit. Although the kit comes with instructions on how to create set projects, it is always fun to play with the kit and create alternate projects.
We are starting off this week with another shaker card. While I love the intricate laser cut design in the card kit I needed to create a window for my shaker card and cut out the top portion of the card. Keep these pieces as they are great to use for other alternate cards/ projects.
When making alternate projects you often do require to have some other card stock and embellishments handy. In this case I used some Pool Party Cardstock, Window Sheets, Brights Sequin Assortment and Foam Adhesive Strips. Following the basic shaker card instructions from THIS POST, you should be able to create most shaker cards.
Since the card needs to be popped up to allow space for the shaker items, I did cut the back base of the die cut card off and layered my shaker card onto a Pool Party base instead.
I saw this fantastic design on the Paper Pumpkin Fan Club page on Facebook. If you are on Facebook and are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, I recommend joining this group to be able to participate in great projects and ideas!.
Tomorrow is my 2nd Wedding Anniversary and I’ll be sharing my non-traditional anniversary card I made for my husband, with you on Wednesday. Be sure to come back and see what I designed for him!
