Little Piggy – You make me happy!

I have been under the weather for a few days now which means I have been unable to do much stamping.  I did however summon the strength to slip into my stamp room when my husband went out to run an errand yesterday.

While my husband is disabled and struggles to get around, he did everything he could to take care of me!  I needed him to know that he is special, that I appreciate him and he makes me happy. Well after attending OnStage Local on the weekend and receiving the sweet new set This Little Piggy, I knew it was perfect to create a fast and cute card.

When this set was shared with us on the weekend, we were shown some ways to colour and I was so excited to learn of a way to watercolour easily on Shimmery White cardstock.  I can’t wait to get better so I can create a video to share with you this simple watercolouring technique.  It has suddenly made me better at watercolouring (in my opinion anyways LOL)

So the retiring list was revealed the other day and the designer series paper I used here from the Neutrals pack is on that list.  If you love it as much as I do, I highly recommend getting your orders in before they are gone!

I didn’t want to detract from the cute piggy image, so I kept my layers and embellishments to a minimum and added a little strip of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon.  It seems to go well with this card!

What did you think of this cute little piggy?  Do you think it may need to be on your new wish list?
