Hope you enjoyed the long weeked! The weather was SO much better than expected and I was thrilled about it. I managed to get a lot of sorting done as we will be having a garage sale.
First I must apologize about the poor quality of this photo. I had taken two pics of it but something happened when turning off my camera that it didn’t save the second photo. It didn’t help that I was rushing to get out of the house to drop the card off to the little girl who was the recipient of this card. She loves John Deere so this card was fitting for her.
The tractor was surprisingly easy to make using several punches – Large Tag Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Word Window Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, 1″ Circle Punch, 1/2″ Circle Punch and Itty Bitty Shapes (circle) punch. The back tire was created by punching out a Scallop Circle turning slightly and punching into the scallops to make the sharp points.
I used a scallop oval punchout of white paper as a ‘mask’ to create my sponged sky. I needed a field of some sort so I stamped the long grass from Inspired by Nature.
My favorite part of this card is how I incorporated the age of the little birthday girl. I created exhaust smoke, coming out of the exhaust pipe, from Basic Gray cardstock and stamped the letter 2 on them.
You can learn how to make this fun card too by attending my Punch Art class next Monday (May 31st). RSVP by May 28th.
