Honeycomb Happiness

When I first received the Sale-A-Bration catalogue I fell in love with the cute little chick from the set Honeycomb Happiness and the coordinating Honeycomb embellishments from the Occasions Catalogue….. need I say more!

Then while browsing Pinterest, I saw the cutest card and knew instantly that I wanted it to be one of the cards at my upcoming Sale-A-Bration card class.

I used regular Whisper White cardstock for my card front and quickly washed the Calypso Coral ink across the front using my Aquapainter.  The little chick however, I stamped using the Archival Black ink on Watercolour paper.  Since I was watercolouring the image and adding extra colour to several spots  I needed a proper paper that wouldn’t pill or tear.

I finally started using my candy dots as well.  Talk about super easy to use!  Just like a brad but without poking a hole through your layer and having a bump from the ‘legs’ of the brad.

Don’t you just love the Honeycomb embellishment?  Since the pack only comes in three colours of which none are yellow, I had to use my re-inker and spritzer to dye a white honeycomb.

Quick, cute and very easy to make!

See you again soon!
