Creating blank cards, no sentiments on the front or sayings on the inside are a great way to keep a stash ready for just about any occasion. I have been waiting several years for Stampin’ Up! to release a stamp set with lighthouses, seeing as how I missed my chance on one they had released about 10-12 years ago. As soon as I saw the set, High Tide, in the 2017 Occasions catalogue, I just knew it was a must own.
The design and cohesiveness of the images leaves you open to so many possibilities for creating landscapes and themes. I have yet to create a card using the light beam but I can’t wait to create some of those.
Today’s card is one I made with my stamp club ladies a few weeks ago. With a bit of layering image upon image and some masking so as not to stamp water over the sand or the lighthouse, it was a quick card to put together. There is so much detail in the images that I refrained from adding embellishments as I feared it would detract from the card.
One detail that one of my stamp club members mentioned they loved was the layer of black in behind the scenery. This really helps make the imagery pop off the card front.
Have you purchased this set? Was there a particular reason why it was a must have?
