Hello Love

I have been catching up on creating alternate project ideas with my Paper Pumpkin kits.  I love trying to think outside the box and creating some fun alternatives.  The first batch I had created focused on using the contents of the kit along with the Notecards and Envelopes but then I decided to add some other projects and create some standard A2 cards with them.

Today’s card is my absolute favourite so far out of all the cards I have created with the January Adoring Arrows kit.  Quick side note as well, if you haven’t already signed up for Paper Pumpkin, now is a great time. Purchase the 3 month subscription which is on sale for $74.00 right now and you also get to select one FREE Sale-A-Bration item! Okay, so back to my super sweet card!  I used Thick Whisper White Cardstock for my base, added a layer of the Black and White striped design from the Neutrals Designer Series Patterned Paper pack and finally you have the focal point…. the card front!

For the card front I used regular Whisper White cardstock.  I pulled out my mask (which sadly has retired but I still love it!) and using Sponge Daubers (133773) sponged Blushing Bride ink over the dots, making sure to have the ink fade out slowly as I worked my way over the card front. Now a great replacement for the retired mask and actually more perfect for this card would be the Hearts and Stars Decorative Masks (133777) which is a current product!

Now this is where I began adding a couple things that don’t belong in this kit.  As, hopefully, you are aware the new Occasions catalogue is out and it has some adorable Lace Doilies.  Now you might say, “hang on a minute, those are Very Vanilla” but guess what? When you turn them over… they are White!  So I added this to my card front, snipping off a bit along the one side.  I added two gold heart stickers from the Adoring Hearts kit. Next I stamped a heart outline on a die cut heart in Smoky Slate ink and stamped lots of little hearts in Blushing Bride ink. I popped this up with the Dimensionals, also in the kit as they are a bit thicker and layered it slightly over the two gold hearts.

And finally I added the sentiment.  Can you guess what I used?   ……..   The rotary stamp from the December Paper Pumpkin kit, Another Great Year! I love how the stamps from past kits work so well with other projects. I inked up the word Hello in Archival Black ink, stamped it and repeated with the word Love.

Totally in love with this card and if I hadn’t been so excited about it and showed it to my husband, well I would have given it to him for Valentine’s Day!  Now I’ll just have to come up with a new design for his card 🙂

I hope you like this card as much as I do and have fun creating with your Paper Pumpkin kit!

EDIT – I inserted Sponges in my Product list by accident.  I actually used Sponge Daubers – Item ID 133773
