It’s already Monday again! We spent Saturday clearing out our basement and moving furniture around in my stamp room to make room for an antique pine hutch that we picked up in the fall. I was so grateful for the extra hands that we had to move these pieces as they are heavy and awkward. Once I have my room a bit more organized, I’ll share some pics.
April was a hectic month for me and as I was preparing for my monthly stamp club, I was in need of CASE’ing so as to stay on my timeline. I had just received the stamp set Fairy Celebration and hadn’t had a chance to use it yet. I took to Pinterest and found a pretty card created by Rochelle Blok. It was beautiful and perfect to share with my club ladies how to colour using markers and blender pens on thick Whisper White cardstock.
Stampin’ Up! used to sell a Marker air spritzing tool and since I wasn’t able to locate mine and I wasn’t in the mood to get dirty, I took to using another method to get splatter on my card front with the Gold Wink of Stella. I squeezed the maker to make sure there was plenty of gold ink in the markers tip and then, while holding over my cardstock, I blew hard on it. Just like that, I had some great splatter marks on my card front.
I am grateful for a resource like Pinterest when I’m in a pinch. I do like to come up with my own ideas but some months it’s just not feasible.
Hope you have a great Monday and I’ll see you back here soon!
