Grunge

I have to be honest, when I browse the catalogue I completely pass over sets like the Gorgeous Grunge set.  I think it is because it does not have a set sentiment or image but rather just randomness.  Well I received this set as part of my Convention package and we created the following make n’ take and since it was so gorgeous, I just had to use it for my stamp club project.

I think by the time the ladies in my club were done stamping their card front with this set they were Gorgeous Grunge converts as well!

There are so many fabulous ways to use these images and on just about any project you make that it really has a wonderful versatility.

TIPS/TRICKS

  • Glimmer Paper – I don’t know about you but the back of the Glimmer Paper is so smooth that I cannot get SNAIL Adhesive to stick to it.  I find the best adhesive to use to attach your glimmer paper to your projects is by using Sticky Strip
  • White Bakers Twine– Create any colour bakers twine you wish by using a sponge and ink pad colour of your choice.  Hold the end of the White Bakers Twine, lay over the ink pad, holding it down with the sponge and pull the twine away from the ink pad.  This will dye your twine quickly and easily.
  • Colour – Use several colours to stamp your grunge images for a fun, eye catching look.
  • Layout – Centre your layers in one area to draw the eye to it while remembering to leave plenty of ‘white’ space.
