I am back from holidays and getting into the swing of things again. While I should have posted on my blog earlier this week, I took some time to create some videos with some helpful stampin’ tips and ideas. If you would like to check it out, click here. I have been working with my new Christmas stamp sets from the Holiday Catalogue which is now live and products available to purchase. Today’s card is a super sweet Gingerbread House card.
My card front is 3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″ Whisper White Cardstock. I stamped my trees in Wild Wasabi ink from the set Santa’s Sleigh. I used the gingerbread houses that I cut from the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper to help me determine where to stamp the trees in behind. Next I sponged Pool Party ink around the trees to create my sky. I was careful to leave the bottom portion white.
In this section, I stamped a “splash” image from Sheltering Tree in Versamark ink, applied Iridescent Ice embossing powder and heat set using the heat gun. Now I realize that this powder is retired but I’ll be honest I was feeling a smidge lazy. To create a similar look, stamp in Versamark, apply and heat set some Heat & Stick Powder, quickly apply Dazzling Diamonds Glitter and heat set again.
Adhere your houses to the front of your card using SNAIL and carefully tie a piece of Candy Cane Lane Bakers twine around the card front and finish in a bow.
Attach your card front to a Real Red card base and your sweet gingerbread house card is complete!
