Flowers on the Gate…

Okay so the flowers aren’t really on a gate but they are on a gate fold 🙂  Creating a gate fold is quite simple and a fun way to change up your card.  Begin by cutting your cardstock to 4 1/4″ x 11″.  Next score at 2 3/4″ and 8 1/4″ on the long edge of the cardstock.  Fold the two ends in and you have your gate fold.

This was a quick and fun card created using the retired Simply Soft Hostess Set and the Domestic Goddess DSP.  I embossed the outline of the flowers using Black Embossing Powder and with the aid of my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig I stamped the filler image over top.

The sentiment was stamped using one of my go-to favorites, Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out using the Word Window Punch.  This was then layered on Wild Wasabi that was punched out using the Modern Label Punch.  I love how these two punches go so well together.

The card needed a touch of bling, so I added a rhinestone at either end of my sentiment.

Quick, easy and a fun card.
