Dropped Circles

Tonight I have my tile coaster class.  I always enjoy this class and have lots of fun seeing how each person creates their tiles in their own unique way.  If you live in the Fergus area and would like to come to the class there are still a couple spots available.  Just let me know ahead of time that you plan to attend.  Class fee is $18.00 per person and begins at 7pm.

My card today was fun to create.  I just love the dropped circles.  To make these simply cut your cardstock the same width as the size of the circle punch you wish to use.  Slide your paper into the actual hole of the circle punch and into the gap that has the cutting edge (do not slide in from outside opening of punch, you will end up with a half moon cutout instead of a half circle)

I used the beautiful Autumn Spice Designer Series Paper for this card and laid my strips onto a 4 1/4 x 11″ Whisper White cardbase (scored and folded at 5 1/2″)

I love ribbon so I felt adding a smidge of ribbon to this card would be appropriate.  This card shows off the Baja Breeze Seam Binding… so pretty!

The flowers were die cut from More Mustard cardstock using the Fun Flowers die in the Big Shot machine.  I spritzed them with water to soften the fibres of the cardstock and scrunched them up to give them some texture.  I added a retired Baja Breeze cordurory brad through the centre and attached with glue dots to my card front.

As a finishing touch I stamped the sentiment For You in Jet Black Staz-On ink on some scrap Whisper White cardstock and punched out using the Jewelry Tag Punch. I punched a small hole in the end with a 1/16″ Handheld Hole Punch, tied a bit of Linen Thread through the hole and tied around the knot of my seam binding.

Remember to contact me if you wish to attend tongihts class and don’t forget the Christmas Card Stamp-A-Stack class next Saturday.  Reserve your spot now!
