We are living in an era where snail mail is almost unheard of. So many people use social media and the internet to stay connected with loved ones all around the world and have forgotten the old ways of writing a letter or filling out a card and sending it through the mail.
I love cardmaking for several reasons, but one of the most important is that it helps me to pause….. to take a moment and write something personal and finally, sending it off knowing that soon someone will open their mailbox and know that someone is truly thinking of them.
Today’s card is a simple ‘friend’ card. Perfect really for any occasion, a simple hello to thinking of you to happy birthday or you did it!
This happens to be one of the cards that we will be making in next weeks Bloomin’ Love class. I focused the class around the Bloomin’ Love stamp set as well as the Bloomin’ Heart die (purchased in a bundle to save 15% 140818) and used some other fantastic products from the new Occasions Catalogue. This beautiful floral patterned paper is from the package of Birthday Bouquet Designer Series paper (140557) and the ribbon is the Blushing Bride 1/4″ Cotton Ribbon (from the Annual Catalogue). Ink colours used were Pistachio Pudding, Blushing Bride, Old Olive and Soft Sky. The word “Friend” was stamped using Memento Black ink.
I hope you’ll be inspired to create a card for a friend, write a thoughtful note and send it off to them, special occasion or not!
Have a great weekend and I look forward to seeing you back here again next week!
