Comfort Cafe

So I had to shake my head at myself when I read Chrissie’s comment on yesterday’s post.  I seem really good at following instructions providing there is not more than one instruction provided LOL.  I completely forgot the rule about white space on the Less is More Challenge and solely focused on creating a card based on the theme, sewing.

If I have time before Friday I will attempt another card for this weeks challenge.  We’ll just have to wait and see 🙂

This card is along the lines of a dropped circle card I have done in the past but with this card, rather than using a circle punch to round the bottoms of my designer paper I used a corner rounder punch and just nipped the corners.

The strips are 3/4″ wide which allowed me to select 6 different patterns from the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper.  I cut the strips longer than I needed and attached them to a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock, lining up the rounded bottoms.  Then I trimmed the excess off the tops of the DSP.  This helped keep things lined up and tidy.

I popped up my DSP using Stampin’ Dimensionals and layering on my Crumb Cake card base.  I couldn’t resist using the Midnight Muse Stitched Satin Ribbon AGAIN!  It is much prettier than I thought it would be.

The sentiment is from the new Bitty Banners stamp set and cut out using the Bitty Banners Framelit Die.  I attached it to the ribbon using a piece of Linen Thread.
