You may remember my post from Sunday with a card I created for the Global Design Project challenge of using Pear Pizzaz, Flirty Flamingo and Daffodil Delight. Well I loved the colour combo so much I made another card based on the challenge.
I used the flower bloom and leaf images from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set, along with a masking technique to eliminate the long stem on the leaf stamp. By stamping my flower bloom on a scrap piece of copy paper and cutting it out, I was able to lay it over my stamped flower on my cardfront to mask / protect it from stamping a portion of the leaf image close to the flower.
I had stamped my sentiment in the top right corner but felt the card was still a bit plain and needed something more…. This is where the extremely pretty Flirty Flamingo Ruched Ribbon came in to play.
I added some Tear n’ Tape under the sentiment and carefully scrunched/ folded my ribbon as I applied it to the adhesive. While this close up photo doesn’t seem to show it (yet you can see in the first photo), by trimming the ends of the ribbon on an angle, it gives the project a clean and completed appearance.
Have a great weekend and I hope to have some more posts to share with you next week!
