Thumping Thursday – Lemon Lime Twist Floral (Video included)

It’s Thursday and that means it is time for Thumping Thursday.   Today’s quick and easy card features the new 2017-2019 In-Colour – Lemon Lime Twist, as well as the soon to be available stamp set – Wood Words!

I must admit I am drawn to this bold new colour and it looks fantastic when paired with Basic Black!  I also created a video tutorial to make this card so be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for the video link!

I used a piece of Whisper White Cardstock measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ for both the inside and the outside of the card.  I stamped the large floral image from the new set Wood Words in Lemon Lime Twist ink all around the outside edges of my card front.

Next I stamped my sentiment in Archival Basic Black ink on scrap Whisper White and die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (in the video I did the opposite. I die cut the paper before hand, then stamped)

I also die cut a larger oval from the Stitched Shapes dies from Lemon Lime Twist so the sentiment would really stand out!  While the Lemon Lime Twist die cut oval is adhered with SNAIL directly to the card front, the stamped sentiment is popped up over this using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

You’ll notice I carried the floral theme to the inside of the card as well, stamping only in the top right and bottom left to allow room to write a greeting.

As promised I created a video to show you how to make this card.  Check it out here!

You can re-create this card easily in any of the In-Colours (or any of our great colours) and have hello, thank you, birthday, etc cards on hand and ready to go in a flash!

Book Card Tutorial

Well I just realized that while I thought I posted a video tutorial here on my blog a while back, I hadn’t!

A couple months ago I shared a book card created using the Beautiful You Stamp set, which also featured some watercolouring.  As I had been asked how to make it in more detail, I created a video to provide a visual aid!

Without further ado – here is that video tutorial I created 🙂

I am definitely a visual/ hands on person, so having images and videos to go by certainly help me and I hope this video and these pics help you as well! For this video I used the Lift Me Up Bundle (you can still purchase the bundle and save 10% but only until May 31st – visit my on-line store to order yours before it’s too late).  I also used the now retired Sale-A-Bration designer series paper, Carried Away!

Here are some still shots of the card:
