Mixed Media Fun

I am super excited about the Brusho that is available in the Occasions Catalogue! I have been playing with it for a few days now and just love how each project looks so different! Today’s card is my VERY FIRST attempt at using Brusho and I am over the moon with the results.

I spritzed my Watercolour paper, tapped on the Yellow Brusho Crystals and the background turned out so beautifully.  To enhance it even more, I added Shimmery Embossing Paste using the fun Pattern Party Decorative Masks.

Next I used Picture Perfect Birthday to stamp my gift bow image in Versamark, added Silver Embossing powder and heat set to create this elegant bow. Next I took the Silver Metallic Thread and swirled it in behind the bow before popping it up on my card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I needed the perfect sentiment so I selected the word ‘Congratulations’ from the set Special Celebrations and stamped it in Basic Gray Archival ink.  To make my little masterpiece stand out on my card front, I layered it on Silver Foil cardstock.

Have you played with Brusho yet? If not, you can order it via my on-line store along with Aquapainters for a qualifying Sale-A-Bration order! This means you would get to select one free qualifying product from the Sale-A-Bration brochure. (click on Catalogues to view all items currently available)

Celebrate Amazing You Gift Box

I have been loving CASE’ing projects from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue!  I immediately was drawn to the pretty pink box shown on Page 17 of the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and decided to make my own with a few small changes.

Since I didn’t know the dimensions of the box shown in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue, I made the box to a size of my choosing (which happens to be a square box).  Rather than using any other stamp set than the Amazing You stamp set, I stamped the sun burst and leave image around the outside edges.

I tied my Powder Pink ribbon around the box and finished it in a nice bow.

One of the best parts of this box is the use of the Celebrate You Thinlits available to earn free from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. (just a quick side note, we were informed that this die set will actually make it into the next Annual catalogue! woo hoo!).  If you don’t look closely at the box, you will just about miss the word “you” since it is white cardstock on white cardstock.  It is subtle but effective!

Have you tried CASE’ing any of the projects yet?
