Panda Party in a Pizza Box

I have been having so much fun playing with the Sale-a-Bration items available FREE with qualifying purchases.  When I first saw the Party Panda set, it was NOT on my list of items to earn free, however that changed when I saw some fun projects made with these cute guys.

I decided it would be super fun to embellish a Mini Pizza Box using the Picture Perfect Designer Series Paper and the Party Panda, but not only that but create a shaker frame on the front of the box using the Gold Glitter Flakes!

The result: this fun creation!

I stamped the panda in Archival Basic Black ink and fussy cut him. I used my Layering Circles Framelits to die cut my shaker frame and used the Foam Strips to create my window spacer.

Isn’t he SO adorable!  Oh and if you look closely at the Panda, I used Smoky Slate ink and an Aquapainter to add some shading around his belly and face.  Very subtle but it does help make him stand out more.

Check out those Gold Glitter Flakes inside that Window frame.  They are so small and static-y – you really have to contain them or you will find them EVERYWHERE!  (so worth it though)

Have you earned this set FREE yet?  If not, be sure to head over to my on-line store to place an qualifying $60.00 order, enter January’s Hostess code: KJM7C3VG to earn your Loyalty Points and be sure to add on the FREE Party Panda set using code 147218 for Wood Mount or 147221 for Clear Mount!

Step it Up

Lately I find myself CASE’ing more because when you see a good thing, why mess with it.  However I do still like to create my own designs. One thing Stampin’ Up! likes to show us in our quarterly Stampin’ Success magazine (for demonstrators only), is how we can take a card from basic to intermediate to expert. I thought it would be fun to give this a whirl and share with you a “step up” card from beginner to intermediate.

Both cards feature some of the same elements such as the Bermuda Bay card base and Whisper White matte. They both have a line drawn in Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker around the outside edges of the Whisper White, as well as a “watercolour wash” background look created using a light Pink Pirouette Stampin’ Blend marker.

The beginner card features the Lovely Words Thinlits, using the ‘friend’ die and a few Basic Rhinestones.  Simple, yet nice!

The stepped up card is a shaker card <3  Using the Ovals Framelits, I created a top frame to die cut around the ‘friend’ diecut.  I added a window sheet in behind this, added Foam Dimensional Strip to the back and added in some retired Sprinkles Embellishments.  I then attached this to my Whisper White matte.  In addition, I stamped another sentiment in Basic Black ink to the card front. Just a fun and quick way to step up the card!
