This week over at the Global Design Project the challenge is to CASE the designer. Tanja created a fantastic card with a clean and simple design! I created a fun bear card but flipped the imagery sideways instead.
Have you had a chance to order and work with the Baby Bear stamp set? The new 3 step stamping sets that Stampin’ Up! is coming out with lately are so incredible. By the time you have stamped all three layers, the image tends to look 3-D.
I did mix a bit of old with the new for this card by using the Honeycomb Embellishments from the expired 2016 Occasions Catalogue. I must admit I’m a bit sad they did not carry over into the new catalogue as they are so sweet!
The bear was stamped using Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks, stamping off once with the Early Espresso for the second detailed image. The cute designer paper with words all over it, is from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Pack. With words like “little moments”, “beautiful”, “love”, and “so sweet”, I felt it paired perfectly with the images.
If you look closely, you’ll notice that I punched a hole in the open space between the bears body and arm. This allowed me to loop the Whisper White Bakers Twine around the bears hand.
Finally we have the Mint Macaron Honeycomb embellishment which works so well to create a popping balloon and ties in perfectly to the Mint Macaron card base.
Thank you for checking out my creation for the #GDP048 CASE challenge. Remember we all appreciate your comments and be sure to check out the creations of the other participants as well!
