Birdie Bookmark

I love reading so creating a fun little bookmark is perfect to go with a book.  My stamp club members were able to make this bookmark at our last meeting.

The base is a 4″ x 4″ piece of cardstock.  Fold two edges in to meet and add a triangular piece of cardstock approx 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″ on the back to hold the flaps closed.

Decorate the front as you like to create your own fun bookmark.

Corner Bookmark

For my bookmark I punched the bottom edge with the Scallop Trim Edge Punch.  I added some Basic Black cardstock and a strip of First Edition Designer Series Paper.  I used the Two Step Bird Punch to add my bird and leaves.  The colours used here are Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzaz.  They are so pretty together.

As a finishing touch I used one of the flowers from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack and layered two flowers together to create dimension.  I finished these off by adding Basic Pearls to the centres.
