I love receiving my red box of creativity each month. Rather than diving in and following the instructions provided to create a specific project, I tend to pull everything out and slowly formulate some alternate ideas in my mind. I’m looking forward to receiving my September kit in the mail in the next few days!
August’s kit had some great earthy colours that are perfect for creating a masculine card. How often do we find ourselves wanting to show some appreciation to a male in our lives for something they helped us with but can’t find any cards in our stash that are masculine?
On the large piece of designer paper, I stamped “For You” in the Early Espresso ink. I attached this to my Mint Macaron card base found in the kit, added a strip of the Early Espresso cardstock, cut a bit of the Burlap ribbon and added this slightly over the Early Espresso strip. I tied some of the Early Espresso Bakers Twine through the wooden leaf embellishment and used Glue Dots to attach it to the card front.
The kit also came with some pre-printed circle tags with space to stamp a greeting in the centre. I chose “Thanks” as the sentiment but stamped this with my own Mint Macaron ink pad as this colour was not part of this months kit. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to raise this up and added one more wooden leaf, tucked slightly in behind.
When you are a Paper Pumpkin subscriber and receive these kits each month, you slowly build up a collection of exclusive stamp sets, as well as a variety of different colour ink spots. Quite often you also end up with some extra bits and pieces when you have completed the kit. All these items are great to use to create new cards, or to use on future Paper Pumpkin kits, when you are looking to create alternate projects/ cards.
Right now there is a BOGO sale on Paper Pumpkin for new subscribers.
Purchase your first month and receive your second month FREE! This offer ends October 10th so be sure to sign up soon! I offer an exclusive Facebook page for my subscribers where I share alternate project ideas that I haven’t shared elsewhere! For subscribers that live close to me, I offer an evening for the ladies to socialize and work on their kits together. They also have the option of making one or two of my alternate cards, using the product in their kits.
