Hearing of someone being married 25 years seems to be such an amazing thing nowadays but when someone is married 60 years, it leaves you with a feeling of awe, and not just to be married that long but knowing that the couples life has been blessed to still be here with us.
This month marks the 60th anniversary for a couple who are close to us and for me this calls for a special hand made card.
I admit that I dipped my hands into some of my retired Designer Series Paper stash to find the perfect patterned paper for this card. I used the Bloomin’ Hearts Thinlit dies and the Large Numbers Framelits dies from the current Occasions Catalogue to die cut my heart and my numbers. The white heart did not stand out on its own against the patterned paper, so I sponged it with Blushing Bride ink and added some die cut flowers using the Pretty Petals DSP paper stack.
Since a diamond represents 60 years, I felt it was fitting to use the White Glimmer paper which shimmers like a diamond, to die cut the numbers.
This card came together so quickly for me as I had a rough idea already playing in my mind and I love the final results!
