Inside the Lines – Watercolouring

Happy Monday morning!  The sun is shining and we are expected to hit 20+ Celsius today!  To me this is a blessing, especially with a lingering headache today, the warm weather makes my heart happy!

I don’t know about you but our  weekend was exceptionally busy.  A highlight for  me was attending Stampin’ Up!’s OnStage Local event in Toronto.  Attending events such as this is an amazing perk of being a demonstrator.  We had the opportunity to see the new catalogue and even receive some new products!  I cannot wait to share with you the projects I am planning with these items.  For right now though, I can’t show you anything but come back tomorrow for a sneak peek 😉

While I love coming up with my own card designs (which we all know can be very time consuming), sometimes its nice to just copy someone else’s designs. When I’m in a time crunch for a class I have a tendency to CASE.

My last stamp club I wanted to showcase the Inside the Lines designer series paper that had been available during Sale-A-Bration and I came across a card on Pinterest by Bonnie O’Neill that just popped and spoke to me.  I think it was because she used Pool Party and Watermelon Wonder and I love those colours together.

I changed very little from Bonnie’s design. I created my card with one less layer on the base, as well as no matte under the designer paper. The only addition I made was a Basic Rhinestone to the sentiment banner. This was a great way to share some Watercolouring with my stamp club ladies.  Each womans piece turned out a bit different and it was neat to see their watercolouring abilities evolve as they coloured.

See you soon with some great SNEAK PEEK items from the 2017-2018 catalogue!
